Thanks, I think this is it. I've just checked and it's not quite 12 months. Thanks!

I know I have to write to them in order to send my passbook - to close the account - but is there a way of getting a faster payment rather than a cheque, by attaching a cancelled cheque as evidence of the target account? Any experiences of this?
TIA- Faster payments are available to a nominated bank account in the holder(s) name.
https://srbs.co.uk/docs/default-source/default-document-library/srbs-nominated-bank-account-form.pdf?sfvrsn=ddbd2a20_8
You will still have to send your passbook off.
you also need a Faster Payments Withdrawal Form below;-

You need to send them your passbook with an account closure form and required current account statement.

Letters take ages to arrive (I got a letter last week dated 1 September), their online system is a joke and the fact that resetting a password requires a letter to be sent in the post is ridiculously outdated! I am starting to think whether this is worth it really...
I am not attempting to make excuses for MBS but the current postal service in this country is !!!!!!.
Recently I have had several periods without mail for up to a week. Despite Royal Mail are contracted to deliver six days a week, I have had to travel 8 miles round trip to collect my post from the sorting office only to be told we don’t have the staff. This is happening all over the place. So it may not always be down to a poor service from the sender.

Have not always saved copies of my regular saver terms and conditions but have got on my notes that the likes of Skipton, principality, ybs have the max £3k / £6k so no ‘13th payment’ would be allowed. And no 13th for First Direct either. Whereas no limit for Nationwide start to save issue 2 so could do a 25th here. Does the Coventry first home saver allow a 37th payment? Thks0

Anyone have views on whether Principally after likely to increase the rate on their First Home RS accounts?
I suspect they may see quite an outflow of funds if not..

4.3 If you open your account part-way through a month you may still deposit up to £1,000 until the end of that calendar month Likewise if your account term ends part-way through a month you may still deposit up to £1,000 in the final calendar month up until the date your account term ends This means that if you open your account on the 1st of a month your maximum balance is £36,000. If you open your account on any other day of the month your maximum balance is £37,000.
(Bold emphasis, mine)
