Smaller building societies' electronic deposits have a tendency to land after mid-day and if it is a Bacs transfer that was initiated yesterday it might be after mid-day tomorrow.

    Chorley RS (Issue 2)
Maturing today, sent in my withdrawal request on June 12th. Still showing at £3000 with no movement. Has anyone received their proceeds from this yet?
Account now showing zero balance and closed but with the closing interest applied and an entry of 'ELECTRONIC CLOSURES (BACS EXTRACT' to suggest the money will be in my current account soon.

Well still no sign of the balance in my CA
    Same here.
Would have got the money quicker if they sent out a cheque. :D
  • Letter from Chorley BS giving options for maturity said to allow 4 working days after 30th June for funds to be in nominated account. So I need patience!

Probably go for a cheque next time then. Normally receive cheque on day of maturity and it clears next day.

I have today received closing money from Chorley BS, (in pending) I entered my bank details mid way through June, so shouldn't be long now. I logged on yesterday and saw the interest had been applied with the same reference quoted by Very Intrigued.

    Mine's not arrived yet either.
  • Still no maturity funds from Chorley BS in current account. Surely BACS isn't normally this slow.

As someone else pointed out earlier in this thread (I hadn't noticed) their paper terms for the NEXT new issue do indeed say that their BACS may take up to five days.

My Saffron BS regular saver matures soon and they are no longer offering regular savers so I will not be opening a new one. Another blow!
