If it was more than 3 years ago then you may well get the offer of another one.0 -

If it was more than 3 years ago then you may well get the offer of another one.Who qualifies for a speed awareness course?
Not everyone who speeds will be offered to go on the course. You’ll only be offered the course if:
- You haven't been convicted for any other speeding offences in the past three years
- You've been caught driving over 10% plus 2mph of the limit, but below 10% plus 9mph.
For example, in a 30mph zone, this means anything between 35mph and 42mph, and in a 70mph zone it means anything between 79mph and 86mph

they have up to 6 months to convict you of it. I thought they had forgotten about mine or lost paperwork or something but eventually after 5 months it came through and i got my points and fine.0

The 6 months is the time limit in which the prosecution papers must normally be presented to the court. This can be 6 months from the date of the offence or 6 months from when the offence first came to the notice of the authorities, whichever is the later.
The case can be heard well after the court papers have been submitted (I think it's up to 3 years from the date of the offence but I'm not 100% sure about this).0 -

The wording on the original ACPO table for the last column is "Summons in all other cases and above" which I've always found a bit ambiguous as to whether its 49 or 50.

Court DOES start at 50 for the vat majority of areas. Documented cases on Pepipoo. There are a few that start at 55, but not many.0
