Speeding....
Just looking for some advice.
Basically got caught speeding, 42 mph in a 30 zone (4 am), in a replacement van for wotk. This was on 16 Feb this year. I've had the paperwork from the Police, and admitted it all. Sent paperwork back, but so far have not recieved anything to date. I don't really want to contact them, as you can imagine.
What do I do if I haven't heard anything?
Any help/advice would be helpful.
BTW, already have 3 points (Jan 2019). Previously a speed awareness course....
Yeah, I know I'm an idiot, so don't need reminding.

Give it time.
You will be lucky if they have had the paperwork back yet.
Not sure what advice you need other than. You need to rework the throttle to brain interface.Life in the slow lane0 -
I sent a NIP back last year admitting it and got something after about 2 weeks. Give it more time.0

An offer of a fixed penalty usually takes a few weeks to arrive. If they're not offering that for some reason then they have six months to begin court action

Why mention is was 4am? Like that makes it ok to break the limit?
And this is your third time being caught meaning you clearly speed a lot. I hope you don't comment when people speed past your house or past your child's school.0 -

It matters because the intial NIP is sent to the RK which in the case of a replacement van could be a lease/hire company, they would return the S172 naming the driver who would then receive a new NIP/S172 in their name. The 14 day rule only applies to the first NIP and it is usually a lot longer for the 2nd NIP to be issued. If this is the case then it would be highly unlikely that the new NIP/S172 would be issued within 6 days of the offence.

Don't confuse the NIP with the S172 that is on the reverse of the NIP. If you are stopped by the police then there is no need for the S172 as they have the details of the driver. The details are passed to the ticket office and as the 14 day rule no longer applies it can be quite some time before the driver receives details e.g. awareness course, FPN or plead not guilty and go to court.

If it was more than 3 years ago then you may well get the offer of another one.0
