I want it over with - ParkingEye

In short: The keeper has received a parking fine for shopping complex car park. Complex allows free parking for customers using specific services through driver registration input. Didn't buy a ticket but DID input driver registration (no proof) and made purchases via card. Timeline proves location as well. Can keeper just state this, add PDF statement of transaction as evidence and leave it at that in initial appeal?

Thank you.

It is not a fine, it is an invoice from an ex clamper.  PE's Achilles heel is their signage, it has recently caused them to lose two court claims, read this

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5972164/parking-eye-signs-oxford-road-reading

There are no silver bullets, you now have to play their game, have you read the stickies?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

You received  a Parking charge notice which while it looks like a fine, it most certainly is not, the phrase lipstick on a pig springs to mind.

You should get in touch with the shopping centre and explain, if the vehicle registration number was entered, then there could be a fault with their system.
post up what you intend to say to the shopping centre on here first, also where is this shopping centre??

    Shopping complex in Leicester.

    Intended response to shopping centre:
Hi, I attended the xxx showing of xxx at xxx on xx/xx/xx between xx:xx and xx:xx. I entered my vehicle registration number onto the system provided but have now received a PCN from ParkingEye for the duration that I was within the theatre, which could be a result of a malfunction with the theatre's system. I also made a contactless transaction to purchase tickets on-site. I would appreciate if any evidence confirming my attendance at the theatre during said time to appeal the charge.

    Thank you for your cooperation

Sometimes the location of the car park can be a great help, some places are known hotspots, and generate more than their fair share of complaints, some have previous history on here.

owned by DTZ investors ( from the owner tab in the above website)

    that opens with this:
DTZ Investors is a full service vertically integrated real estate manager. We have been operating in the UK since 1968 and in Continental Europe since 1999.
and the second paragraph of this proudly boasts this
We recognise that we have a fiduciary duty to our clients to achieve the best returns possible from the assets we manage on their behalf. However achieving those returns should not be at an undue cost to wider society. DTZ Investors therefore understands its responsibility to manage those assets in a manner that is sensitive to the environment, provides social benefit and does not put the reputation of either DTZ Investors or our clients at risk through poor corporate practices.

So within that wordy and in parts worthy document, how does allowing an unregulated predatory parking company to operate in their name tie in with the above, particularly the sections on bold?

how does getting involved with a company such as parking eye tie in with all that? how do cases like this http://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2014/11/parkingeye-sue-parent-of-seriously-ill.html  all be it from 2014  ( and apparently unresolved ) all add up??

I would be more forceful in my letter and demand (politely) that they get it cancelled for you else, if every visit comes with a £100 surcharge, neither you, your friends nor you family can afford to visit in future!

Done @Le_Kirk. Should I still appeal in case the theatre don't reply in time?
