I'd rather pay a bit extra to get eggs than stand in a queue at the SM (I'm late 60s and suffer COPD so don't want to risk crowds more than I have to!).  My budget for this month has definitely gone to the wall!  I've got about £30 left for rest of the month.

Morning all.  We've had a few spots of rain but not much.  Have taken a chance and put some washing on the line, just hope it doesn't decide to rain again!  It'll have to go on the airer if it does because I don't like putting jumpers in the tumble dryer.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes - P; S; F
    L - potato, wild garlic & chorizo frittata; salad - S; F; 1.5 syns
    D - fish pie, peas & green beans; P; S; F; part HEA; 4 syns

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - milk/cheese (for sauce)
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - 12.5g chorizo 1.5; cornflour 0.5; butter 3.5

Morning all!  Had a lazy start to the morning as I didn't sleep well again last night; this time it was due to the torrential rain!  Have done my workout for the day and had a nice shower and now just chilling out before doing some cleaning this afternoon.  Have our second virtual book club this evening so will have some wine syns later on while having a catch up with the ladies.

B - Toast (HEB), poached egg, cherry tomatoes
    L - LO cottage pie
D - Jacket potato, baked beans, cheese (1 HEA), mixed leaves
S - Wine (12 syns - only planning on two glasses max!)

Hope you all have a good day.

Was meant to fly to quiet side of Tenerife today for a week in a lovely golf hotel. Finally got email to say it was cancelled (really?  :D) on 14th! Now waiting for refund, fingers crossed. Have asked for travel insurance to be moved to next year if possible, if not will get 50% of that back.

sorry you haven’t got to go on tour hols. I hope you get your refund.  What resort were you going to?
We are booked to go to Tenerife in September (Playa Paraiso, also a quiet area) but obviously won’t know if that’s going to happen for a while yet. We have only paid our £100 deposit but don’t know if we have to keep paying or best not to? I paid on cc and do have travel ins too just in case.

garden was better for that deluge of rain overnight, and I still pottered in my greenhouse today. Am being moneysaving if not SW on the food front and made banana flapjack and a banana cake from very over-ripe nanas in the bowl that would’ve got binned otherwise.  Queues at local SM have been mental and relying on my 2 boys to still shop for us, so glad I was able to obtain bread flour in recent weeks and have used the bread maker for HM 50/50 loaves.  I still have no sense of taste or smell so very reliant on family to tell me if they are ok (they are so they tell me).
We have been able to get eggs from a local convenience store (not f/range tho :( ) and a local butchers has them too.  One of my sisters has been getting supplies via her milkman which is helpful as she’s on 12 wk lockdown.

    Stay safe everyone :)

Evening ladies - shall we give the chart a miss? Only 3 of us reporting,. I found the rtc easter treats so got some to eat when watching the Andrew Lloyd Webber shows - really enjoyed Phantom of the Opera earlier - did see a -2lb midweek but I also found some rtc bread in M&S so has to be eaten with cheese - luckily I don't drink.
