Was that the SlimmngEats mushroom stroganoff?  I keep meaning to try that but haven't got round to it yet!

Yes, I trialled it last week just for me and it's quite nice. I used chestnut mushrooms as they advise against white ones because they lose their black 'juice' and make the sauce go a strange colour.

I'm not sure wat to have for lunch yet so will post my menu later.:)

Its a glorious day, warm and sunny,  here which really lifts the spirits. DD1 came round with flowers and a card (DD2 had stuff delivered).  We sat in the garden the requisite 2m apart. ;)

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), kippers (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- ham (P), veggie omelette (P,S) and beetroot (S)
D; roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes and parsnips (F),  LM sausage balls (F?) cauli, broccoli, swede & carrot mash, cabbage kale (S)
Syns- kippers 1.5, gravy 4? weekend wine :)

I don't mop up the butter from the kippers but have synned them anyway. I'm going to have to tell myself that it's not the weekend tomorrow. Staying in with wine syns could so easily become a habit. :o

If the LM sausages are the Rosemary and Red Onion ones then yes they are Free; if they are the vegetarian ones then they are 0.5 Syns per sausage.

Haven't got any chickens in the freezer - our butcher had sold out and they've posted on Facebook today to say they still haven't got any!  No chicken pieces either.  I've got a couple of meals worth of thighs and 2 chicken breasts so that will have to do for the time being.  Can't remember the last time I hadn't got at least one whole chicken in the freezer!

Yes denise , they're the rosemary and red onion ones. I was wondering whether they had any protein or Speed content??
I was fortunate to get the chicken last week before meat started disappearing from the shelves. I've got plenty of food for the time being but I think they're starting to get on top of the panic buying now. Surely, at some point, people will have to eat some of the piles of food they've bought as they will run out of storage space and money!!

I read somewhere that Jamie Oliver is rushing out a daily cookery programme with ideas for making things from cans and packets. Knowing him, they'll be liberally glugged with oil, but it should be interesting. :)

Unfortunately no Protein or Speed in the LM sausages, they're just Free.

Agree with you about the panic buying - they must eat some of it now otherwise they're going to run out of space.

Agree a JO cookery Programme could be interesting using cans and packets.  Jack Monroe has already bought a book out using cans, think it's called Tin Can Alley or something like that - not actually looked at it but imagine it should be affordable for most people, unlike JO probably!

Looked up how to do it, chilli flakes it said😂i am not a chilli person but still liberally put them on😱 next time i will know not to put so many on😂😂

Still ate it with a drop of gravy was more bearable 🤣🤣

Denise try Morrisons for chicken if you have one, they have loads of fresh meat and chickens last week, apparently have there own slaughter houses

Tete posted but no weight loss? - Please put losses in BIG or in colour if you have figured out how! Slimmer of the week is Sleazy again, well done. I will expect a gain next week, although the volunteering has stopped so no biscuits as not in the office DD bought chocolates, not just any chocolates, M&S chocolates. We had some with afternoon tea as probably last time 88 year old mother will be out for a while.

Well done Sleazy on being SOTW again.

Thanks bubbs we have got a Morrisons but not planning on going shopping for at least a few days - not desperate for a whole chicken at the moment as I've already done my menu plan until end of the month.  May try and get some in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks for the chart chieveley. I'm sure you'll enjoy the chocolates. My gifts were fortunately more SW friendly. DD1 brought me flowers. Amusingly DD2 sent me a pack of L'Occitane toiletries but in travel size. Goodness knows when I'll be able to travel anywhere!! 😉

I'm sure spicy BNS would be good with some meals bubbs. To go with a roast, I just cut into large cubes, spray and roast alongside the potatoes for some of the time (20 minutes is usually enough).
