Bankruptcy error on account- please help!!

    They are just human. 
    Did your partner raise a complaint? If not I would still do it, as they should be compensating you for this error. As well as the undue stress you have suffered.

    Yes, I'd say that's worth around £200, for the phone calls, branch visit, inability to use funds, and the massive worry caused.

    I would also switch my accounts from TSB as soon as I had my compensation payment.

    Mistakes do happen but think of the cost to you. The sleepless nights and stress. All the phoning around and visits to a branch trying to resolve matter.  This is totally unacceptable and they should pay for for their costly mistake.  Please do not let them get away with a simple apology and ensure anything on your credit file is put right and you want this in writing.
