If it were me I would be asking to speak to their customer complaints department.
  • Forget about the credit scores, as they are irrelevant.  It is the data recorded in your partners three credit files that needs to be checked for accuracy.

Hopefully you are correct though, and it is a bank error...
Nothing concerning showing up at all

Have you raised a formal complaint yet? If not, do this asap.
Demand that they remove the false information, remove the block from the accounts, and send your husband a written apology.
Then put things in motion to switch your accounts from TSB to somewhere less chaotic

Your husband could also ask Citizens Advice to assist him.

No, not yet. Sleepless stressful night and will chase the bank today to see what’s going on. It HAS to be an error- you can’t be made bankrupt with no knowledge or no debts can you??!! Hasn’t stopped me worrying though!

Honest, you MUST file a formal complaint.
They're not taking you serious if you just keep ringing up in desperation.
Please do also get help from your Citizens Advice. It's the sort of thing they are there for.
  • I would be tempted to submit a SAR to TSB at the same time as making the complaint.  With a SAR, you would be able to see what TSB see.  :)
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

Partner needs to do this as it is on their sole account. Which seems the real issue.

Yes, absolutely. Sorry if I was giving the impression Betsy should do it on behalf of her partner. It's not what I meant.

  • Soooooo, had a call from TSB at 9am from a very apologetic lady! Turns out she was meant to put the notice on another account but mistakenly did it on Stuart’s!! 🤷🏻‍♀️
Massive relief all round! Also very concerned that mistakes like that can happen!
