Would help if you told us what printer it is.

Although the general advice would be to completely uninstall the printer and drivers, download the latest Win10 drivers/software for the printer, reboot the PC, open Devices from the settings and make sure there's no sign of your old printer then reinstall. It the printer is really that old then it may be time to think about getting a newer one.

Hi.Yes I have done all that,it's a Lexmark Z735.I did install it last year when I got the computer with help on this forum. They warned  me it might cause problems if there was a major update but just to repeat the process. The only problem now is this latest error code.

Well I couldn't find any W10 drivers for that printer so maybe it's no longer fixable and you should move on. TBH, you can get a half decent printer these days for the less then the cost of an ink cartridge.

From my time working with Microsoft, that error is a standard Result:
    Error 0x80040003

    Value: -2147221501 | 0x80040003 | 2147745795

    What does it mean ?

    OLE_E_ADVISENOTSUPPORTED
    This implementation doesn't take advisesValue: 3 | 0x0003 | 0b0000000000000011
    TAPI_E_NOTSUPPORTED
    This method is not supported.
Sounds like a software version problem.

Anything I can try? I have been going round in circles all morning but end up with the same page.It worked last year,it just doesn't seem to be having any of it now.All I need is a nice simple printer but you only seem to get the all in one printers now.

The Lexmark website has a article about printers supported on W10 (support.lexmark.com/index?locale=EN&page=content&userlocale=EN_US&id=OS28#IJ but your printer is not listed. Have you tried downloading the windows vista driver from the Lexmark website and run it in compatibility mode?

Well, after a long time of trying to remember exactly what I did last year (I'm not at all computer savvy and my memory is getting worse) I thought I had finally done it.The error code had not shown up until I tried to print again, whereas before it had just said the printer was not connecting to the computer ( or words to that effect).

Did you try the steps in my above reply?
