You still haven't put 'Ltd' in the header for the Claimant's name.
I don't know schedules from the IPC Code because it's so weak and wishy-washy none of us ever read it! You can decide which section applies.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well many thanks for all your help, especially C_M
Case went to court today, via telpehone call due to COVID
Claimant never showed, but I lost.
I never seeked any more advise after submitting my WS. Which was possibly sent in too early, as the Claimant then issued another WS.
So everything is now paid, total cost £244.27, very different to advise given previously.
I will be turning off any further email advise with any response to this thread, and will not be taking part in any further discussion, as I feel I will get a barage of abuse from some unhelpful posters.
But this forum claim of winning 99% of cases must now be disputed.
That said, its been a learning cuve. And indeed I now know how to proceed if any cases ever arise the future.

Shame. Sorry to hear this.
One would have hoped your chances were optimal without a claimant. Even with a loss, it ought to have been possible to exclude bolt on costs and interest, so as to take the claim below the £244 odd ordered - if those were fully argued.
I'm late to this thread, but I'd suggest it unfair to blame the forum where by your own admission you sought no external input on the claimant's evidence, which was served after your statement and probably did a hatchet job on yours. In their absence at the hearing, the claim clearly turned on the statements and it would've been good to arm yourself with the group analysis.
I've long disagreed with any % discussions (a) since the data cohort isn't robust (people are more likely to report wins than losses on here) and (b) litigation is *never* guaranteed, even if the argument looks solid.
None of that means that the success rate enjoyed on here isn't any good.

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Sorry to see a forum member lose out to a PPC.
The OP was late in coming to the forum and had already submitted the defence (which is the most important document). This could have been more detailed and the forum members could have had input into this. The person who employed the OP as a contracter may have also helped to get the ticket cancelled.
When the claim is already at £170.00 + it is worth taking your chance at court but you still have to produce a strong defence.
I came late to the forum and put myself through the bruising experience of appealing to the IAS. That is part of my life that I will not get back
Whilst this forum has a good success rate against the PPC's it is often where the OP has followed the process from start to finish.

Thanks for reporting that you took months of advice for free, and our service wasnt up to scratch apparently.
You know - from your research - that litigation risk i s always present. And you chose to not engage with the Cs evidence to know how to deal with it
It could have been a poor judge, poor defendant or both. But blaming a forum when you only engaged in 1/3rd the process? Unfair.7 -
