Hi i applied for UC in Dec, been sending fit notes for 2 months. I have got the LCWRA added in my payment at the moment abecause im sending the fit notes i guess, but they told me they are sending me a UC50 to fill in. I thought ESA support group transferred to UC without assessment , should I ring them and ask about it on Monday? I did write on my journal that I was in esa support group but seemed to turn a blind eye. My last esa assessment was 1 year ago and usually i get assessed every 2 years.

You don't need to send in any fit notes because you already have LCW. You can be reassessed anytime from 3 months, as your last one for ESA was 1 year ago, then receiving the WCA form is correct and you'll need to fill it in and return it no later than the date stated.

If you were in the Support Group for ESA and there's been no break between your ESA and UC claim then you should not have to fill in a UC50 or have an assessment and you should get LCWRA automatically. I assume you were not receiving a Severe Disability Premium under ESA.
The rule on ESA assessments carrying over to Universal Credit comes from regulation 19 of the Universal Credit (Transitional Protections) Regulations 2014

The LCWRA element is already being added to the claim.

As the LCWRA element is being added then to ask you for fit notes was not correct but they can still reassess you anytime from 3 months. This applies to all work capability assessments, for ESA and UC.

It's likely that sending in the continuous fit notes has prompted the form to be sent to you but they can reassess you from 3 months.
