NatWest £175 Reward

Hi, I have a question about this switch... It says they will automatically close the account your switching from, but I have a credit card with my current bank that's linked to that account. What happens with that? Thanks...

If holding a current account is a requirement for also holding your CC, then your CC will likely be closed if you switch your current account.  Same goes for any linked savings accounts. You'll need to refer to the T&Cs of your credit card to know for sure. Outside of that requirement, they should function independently and closing one will not affect the other.

Thanks for the reply... I had the bank account long before I applied and got the CC, so it's not a requirement as far as I'm aware. On the application page for the CC it doesn't say you have to be an existing customer to qualify for it.

I've just read that they've pulled the offer, but I applied for an account before that announcement. The first scan of my passport was rejected, but the second one was successful... I had a message on 30th March saying the switch is going ahead and will be completed by 9th April. Is this still within the window to get the offer?

Received text today, to say I would receive my switch bonus of £175 on 13/05.

Now my next question is do I keep it or switch it to another bank.

I decided to upgrade my Natwest select to a Reward account.

That's what I did from the start, just don't think Ill use it enough for the benefits. Will need to investigate it, might downgrade it and keep it for the time being and see what switch offers come up.
