    You are misreading it

I have told you to ignore DRPL in almost every post I made so far

This isn't a sc@m and your Google search was incorrect , you should have appealed to Care as a keeper , then gone to popla and appealed again , you failed to do so

Plus you should have contacted the office onsite or telephoned , but failed to do so

Now that you were and still are on the ignore path , you made that bed so continue to lie in it , unless court papers arrive , due to you breaking a contract of parking without payment  onprivate land and then ignoring their contractual invoice There is no easy get out , so stop looking for one

Im not looking for an easy get out. I understand what i should have done red x and take full responsibility for that. I am looking for advice on how to proceed and thank you for giving advice but from your last post it read ti me that i should hold my hands up. I have misunderstoodwhat you have wrote. You seemed to imply that i woukd lose by saying you snooze you lose and move on with your life.
I just want to feel firm in my decision. And have all facts right so far.

I think you do now , my point is that due to assumptions and poor research it's a bit too late to try to repair the damage , so learn the lessons for the future and there is no way to proceed , it's carry on as you were

So if Care are charging say £100 as the default daily tariff for non payment of the parking charge (check the signs) , then if you hold your hands up now due to hindsight and knowledge , it means you may owe Care £100 , but NOT owe DRPL and NOT owe £160 , nor owe £1000 either , not to anyone

You asked what to do , the answer is carry on ignoring because you chose that path right from the off

You asked about DRPL and paying DRPL , the answer is no, and I told you this and gave you the facts over on page 1, if you had mentioned the Peel Centre in the beginning instead of leaving us to work it out for ourselves the initial advice would have been better and bespoke, because that place has been a bed of problems for a decade or more

it says payment MUST BE MADE before exiting the car park

I realise this could be a tough one.  Even so, please contact the CEO of the Peel Centre straight away to lay it all on the line and politely ask them to cancel the charge.  Mention that the car has been parked there many times and payment made, but on this occasion events caused considerable confusion which was made much worse by the fact that the nearest payment machine wasn't working.

Whatever happens, one good email is worth a shot, surely?  Compose it carefully, but be yourself when writing it, you don't come across as particularly self-pitying and when a child suddenly starts vomiting, searching for a working payment machine is unlikely to be a priority.  If you're lucky the recipient may be a parent of young children who will totally get it.

Sorry can you clarify what you mean.
Should i be contacting the care parking to plead my case as in a previous thread soneone has said that the timescle is dubious as to when you respond as an appeal.
But you will know what to do from reading the NEWBIES thread.
Landowner/retail park complaint FIRST, appeal SECOND.

Most retail parks have a website or (failing that) are dead easy to Google & find who runs the place, in half a second flat.  You have some contact emails now and this was easy enough to Google & find as the car park is large and well known.

Im not looking for an easy get out.
We are, and landowner complaint is the 'easy cancel' opportunity.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
