I am not convinced that Care parking are in Parking eye at all , that's more likely to be CPP , not Care
Care parking are Anchor and seems to me that this is the Peel Centre owned by Peel Holdings and previously an Excel domain prior to Care getting it
Pointless looking for excuses or mitigation , it's a pay and display car park with machines and an onsite security office in case of any problems with machines etc
The vehicle was onsite for longer than permitted with no payment , exceeding the BPA grace periods and no visit to the onsite office and no phoning up the helpline either

Unless the OP can get off on compassionate grounds with Peel or popla on a technicality then it's difficult to  is win.Signage is plentiful and recent due to the recent change of companies , you snooze , you lose

I understand the circumstances , but it's a fair cop really , sometimes people need to pay up and move on , so if you lose at popla , then pay up and get on with your life , lesson learned , better to have gone a bit further into Tesco or the council car park nearby , or gone to the onsite office when the crisis was over ,But because you stuck your head in the sand you missed every opportunity to sort this out (Peel won't get involved) so it's ignore DRPL and their made up figures , like I told you in my first post in this thread over on the first page

You're right Red, I always have a bit of a blind spot with the two!

@ OP you're in the best position to check the NtK for compliance, but increasingly parking companies are much better at getting it right.  If you don't understand enough to check, upload a photo/scan of the NtK (both sides) for our advice on it.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You don't owe £160. The debt crawlers work on a no win no fee basis so what they have added on is fake. Debt crawlers have absolutely no powers and can do nothing except send out poor quality bog paper.

Nobody here will suggest you pay a penny, but it is your choice. If you are intent on feeding the scam then it would be £100 to the scammers since they have not paid the debt crawlers so are not out of pocket by the fake add on £60.

Even if this went to court you wouldn't (shouldn't) end up paying much more than about £175-£200. If you won you could get up to £95 back.

As for paying somebody £18 to deal with this, have a very, very long hard look at their ratings on Trustpilot or similar before giving a third party company any money. There is one company that had bad ratings and threatened court to anyone who left a bad rating. I am not saying it is the company you have mentioned. I have not looked but personally I wouldn't touch any paid for service with a 3.2m long pole for fending off barges unless they were positively recommended by the majority of knowledgeable regulars on here.

I don't believe any of the regulars would suggest doing anything outside the advice given in the NEWBIES.

Whatever you decide, please do complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Nobody can deal with your case and nobody would pay DRPL either , Peel Holdings won't help you
Ignore DRPL , come back if you receive court papers from the CCBC in Northampton within 6 years

But from. Some advice that has been given it seems like i have vety little chabce of winning this as i did not even try to phone anyone when machine wasnt working or try to rectify the problem. If i snooze i lose. As quoted
I ignored the PCN as i had read through research online that you coud ignore PCN as they are a scam. Which i still believe.
    So going in from here.
I could complain to mp and landowner about this PCN hoping that they will take action of some kind
Ignore the debt recovery. Dont pay anything
Wait to see what next move is?

That is what I would do, but it is not my decision to make.

I my opinion there is nothing else to do other than pay a bunch of scammers or wait to see what happens in the next six years. Since there is now no longer an option to appeal further you have nothing to lose by complaining and then ignoring everything else except real court papers.
