Sold something on Facebook yesterday so £110 taken off the total which makes me feel like I'm getting somewhere.
I realised I was counting my Plum credit card pot as part of savings which isn't really accurate so new totals below.
Debt: £10,488.36
Savings: £615.89
It means I can definitely break the 10k barrier next payday!Debt Feb 20: £13,212.12

Good progress that you have paid off almost 20% of your debt in just those few months since February. Getting below £10k this month is a great result. Just think how much better your position will be once the debt is gone. You are doing well on building up savings too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I’m very lucky that my job is secure so I feel like lockdown is giving me time to get myself sorted with my finances as I’m not paying out to commute, not tempted by buying lunch and don’t have to pay for dog care on the days husband and I are both in the office. Trying to see the positives in the situation and today has been a lovely day 😀
I am in a similar position where with secure jobs, lockdown is really giving me the chance t sort finances out so we can come out the other side better and more financially secure.Debt at start Jan 2020 : £15000

I can't wait to be rid of it. All the things I could do with £500 a month, it seems ridiculous to have got into this position but the debt built up when I was earning significantly less than I am now.blah1234 said:enthusiasticsaver said:Good progress that you have paid off almost 20% of your debt in just those few months since February. Payday today! Woo!
Credit card statement isn't generated until the 4th, so no debt-busting news, but I have allocated all my money to my Monzo pots for the month so I'm ready to go!
I can't wait until my statement is generated and I can make the payment which will take my debt to under £10k (£2 under, but I'm counting it as a win!)Debt Feb 20: £13,212.12
