So I have done some research and the only planning that has been granted is this (see photo) it’s hard to work out exactly what signs have been allowed but it does have an expiry of permission of 2011 and no mention of apnr cameras so think this is in my favour. Also signs do not specifically say parking for shoppers of the retail park. Can I post a pic of the signage on here?

Yes, do show us the signage but lack of planning/advertising consent is something & nothing really.

Bog standard UKPC scam signs with the £100 charge buried in fine print. If they are anything like the ones near me, you can't read it from a car length away.

Have you complained to the landowner yet?

Has your MP been involved yet?

Still trying to find out who owns the land, I can apply with the land registry but it’s £35, my brother in law is going at the weekend to ask the retailers. In the process of writing my MP letter, it’s on my list of things. What would you say is the strongest point for the argument in my appeal, or is it more a combination / lengthy appeal? Thanks

It should only cost about £3 to obtain landowner details from the Land Registry. I think you are doing something wrong if it is coming up with a £35 charge.

Is this Townsend shopping centre in Shepton Mallet?

If so, there's a couple of names here you might try:

All retail parks have those sort of results, with contact details, so I am always surprised when people struggle to find who runs a retail park these days.   Google finds those results easily.

The sign is awful.  Every section has different font and different sizing, with the £100 utterly illegible.

Ok forgive me for being completely thick I have tried the link above from keithP but they are no longer involved, Tesco have told me it’s a third party owned car park by UK park, so I presume this is UKPC, but the letter states ‘ the vehicle was parked on our client’s private property’ could it be owned by UK park? Are they different to ukpc? Can I just presume they have no land owner authority and put it in my appeal? I have tried paying on the land registry but it’s tricky as there’s 8 different stores so you have to apply for each individual one, I have tried two one is owned by costa and one by Tesco. Sorry if I am missing something obvious
