I can't get priority access with Ocado. They have confirmed I am on the Government's shielding list and they have confirmed that I place a regular weekly order with them. I spend around £50 a week.

However I have been denied priority access as I am not a "most loyal customer" due to my spending and have been unable to get a slot since the restrictions happened.

So they're cherry picking the most profitable extremely vulnerable people then!
Here I go again on my own....

That's frustrating - I hope you are able to get a slot soon.
For info, the average order on Ocado is £110 (from their quarterly trading statement).

I , too, am very sorry that you cannot get a slot, Becles. I have slots once every week into May----and every time I have a delivery, the next slot opens up for about 3 or 4 weeks ahead, so I am always that far ahead.
I had an email from them early on to say they were splitting priorities between people on the GOV vulnerable list on the one hand and loyal customers of Ocado on the other hand( based on longevity with the company, whether we had a 6 months "paid-in -advance" pass, as we do, and our regularity of shopping with them, every week for many years).
I can't understand why you are being let down in this way and I can only hope you get a slot soon.
If it helps, the online grocers seem to be getting a bit more accessible in recent days as the hoarding and huge orders are coming down. For example, I looked at Tesco yesterday and there were slots am and pm for the next 4 days; if Tesco is relaxing so much, let's hope you can find a slot there and that it is the beginning of a trend that sees a return to some semblance of normality with the online grocers. All the best and good luck, Becles.

Re my last posting above, my apologies, Becles, ----- what I said about Tesco should have read "Sainsbury's". I have just this minute been to the Sainsbury's site and there are very many slots at all times during the coming 6 days (though of course I suppose this just applies to my own geographical area). Hope this helps. Cheers.

Thanks. I'm managing to get shopping delivered from Sainsburys which I'm surprised about as I don't regularly shop there. I usually just buy an odd top-up basket here and there, and I've only used their online shopping a couple of times when they've sent me a £x off a £x spend voucher!

I'm a Smart Pass customer which I haven't been able to use since Ocado cut me off. Think I'll continue to be a Sainsburys shopper after this to say thanks for looking after me.

I don't blame you, mate. Sainsburys are pretty good and I'm just glad you're getting shopping deliveries at this awful time. Cheers.
