I do not like it.  Typing on a mac takes an age.  I watch the letters form at snail pace.  I dislike the fact I cannot see which threads I have read and which I have not.
I’m on a Mac, an iPad and an iPhone SE - not bothering with the latter as I don’t use it fir anything I can use one of the others for! And it’s not slow - which given my 4-6MB “broadband” is nothing short of miraculous (and I’m a fairly fast typist, even on the iPad onscreen keyboard, so it isn’t that!). I don’t know how we work out what’s making it slow for some people.

If you’re using a tablet, you need to use it landscape rather than portrait. If you’re on a phone you need to switch to mobile view rather than desktop. Lots of issues have been solved by sharing info in the sire feedback board.
Ooh 'switch to mobile view' excellent idea it should make it much better

Unfortunately when I checked I was already using mobile view! Oh well I'm sure it'll grow on me (or not)
I suspect a lot of things will change as they fix things that either hadn’t been tested (elevnty billion variations of device/OS/browser, many of which are probably unsupported or close to EOL), or that they weren’t sure how we’d react to in the real world. Plus some stuff we’ll work out - hopefully some kind of user guide will appear at some point.

There's a lot of wasted space; thick colourful headers and borders, et cetera.  Unfortunately that's the way modern sites have been headed for a while.  I don't think it's great for forums, where the focus is the text/content.

Needs a way to switch back to classic theme, this is truly awful. Surely it was beta tested and feedback gathered?

To get to my profile on iphone I have to hold down on my icon and wait for it to pop into the window. Just clicking on it reloads the current page. The text box for typing is tiny.

I'm guessing whoever beta tested it were just yes people & they didn't bother asking anyone who god forbid might have disagreed with them

I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

I believe they had several tiers of testers and the resulting conversations went something like.....

1st tier testers, this new forum design is sh*te
2nd tier testers, this new forum design is only fit to be fertiliser.
3rd tier, this new forum design will encourage growth
MSE Towers tier, great let's role it out!

Mac, Ipad pro and iPhone X with Super Fast broadband.  It isn't me, it's this site.  Everything else I use is fine, but this site is like treacle.
