@mellyjt Looks like they're working on this, so should be up and working soon, hopefully.

How do I skip a comp without having to open the link? Its taking twice as long

You cannot mark as skipped without opening it and it would take me more than 10 times as long to do as I skip over 90%  - you can however use the bookmark option (if you don't want to subscribe to anything), that works from the index and shows it's been done - you would need to change notification settings in your profile.

I have seen the design for the forum and it did show the Skipped / Entered options, so they are being worked on (I assume)

I have also just discovered I am not getting any notification of replies to threads I have posted in for example this thread which I posted earlier. Do you now have to Bookmark them to receive replies? Thanks

Am I missing the obvious but I cannot see how to tell if I have already posted on a thread?

@Enigmatic_Me Click on Notifications in the top right, and then click the wee icon that looks like a mixing desk ... or try this link : https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/preferences

You can change notification settings for quite a lot of things in the "profile" area, probably one of these would do

"Notify me when people comment on my discussions."Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in."
  • It will not let me turn off notifications emails, is this a compulsory setting?

Nope, I've turned off all email notifications on my profile.
Maybe it's because you're a new user?  Not sure to be honest, seems to work fine for me.
