Does anyone know - If someone takes out a brand new contract between now and 29th March will they still get the price rise, or would the prices in that time period already include any increase ?

Shock, horror, a mobile phone company increases it's prices equivalent to December's RPI, in line with it's Ts and Cs.
Where's the revelation there then?

On their website it says the first RPI increase takes place in March 2020 so the price shown won’t include the 2.2% rise,

MrsM gets a 6% increase
Because of the way they calculate the increase and discounts we never know exactly how much it costs until we get the first post increase bill.

Two things:

1. I know they're allowed to do it by law, but what sort of organisation is incapable of fixing a price for two miserable years? You can get mortgages fixed for 10 years, over which time civilisations can rise and fall!

2. Never start a new contract at this time of year. You'll be hit by two of these increases, and they are cumulative. The prices for new customers aren't linked to this at all, so get a new contract on 31 March and you'll only be hit once.

With mine you just add 2.2% to original price of the contract before before discount and then minus the discount.

I am absolutely fuming! Phoned EE yesterday to change sim only deal.Contract was out in October 2019.They said I could not because I had earbuds contract ( bought xmas) attached to sim deal🤷‍♀️ First I knew about it. I could pay them off or wait until November 🤬 I have raised complaint.
