Follow the above link and then the instructions "How to Switch Your Supplier or Tariff" You will need your present annual consumption and the name of your present tariff" Ignore the savings quoted and just look at the cost.

Thanks for the info however I don't know my present annual consumption, shall I just phone up Yorkshire energy and let them do it?

I'll need my bank details handy too, right?

Have you a bill from Robin Hood ? If so it gives a predicted annual consumption (probably top right hand corner of page 1)
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

For electricity, just subtract the actual reading a year ago from today's actual reading and that gives your annual consumption in kWh.

For gas, do the same thing but then use this site to convert the volume to kWh. Make sure you use the imperial or metric calculator depending on which type of meter you have.

Not a problem I'll do that before I call up then

Why do they need to know my annual usage?

So that they can set a monthly Direct Debit that's likely to be about right.

The gas calculator site seems to be down right now, so try later if necessary, or use https://www.energylinx.co.uk/gas_meter_conversion.html

So they can work out roughly what your electricity will cost over the year and set your monthly payment correctly.

But I'd much rather submit meter readings each month like I'm doing now

That will happen anyway, but the annual figure gives them a guide to setup your direct debit.

Ok I've just signed up for yorkshire energy

Will it be the same as robin hood in the way you can submit meter readings each month and they charge you accordingly ?

Also, when will I get a login and password to give meter readings and view bills ?
