Symbio might be the cheapest (I'm with them) but they're a bit clumsy and incompetent when it comes to billing, so only go with them if you're very chilled about dealing with amateurs.
I used Yorkshire Energy last year and they were slick and efficient. I only stopped using them due to a house move.0 -
Thanks
Does the usage cost vary depending on the property? So one provider who's cheap for one person is expensive for another?
Where is the best place to compare providers then I. E go compare or are they not impartial?0 -
A large poorly insulated mansion will cost more to heat than a well insulated new small flat. If you use very little energy then a low standing charge (but high kWh price) may suit one person, but a large user would find it cheaper with a high standing charge and cheap kWh price.
Energy prices vary between regions.
You've already been told of two of the best comparison sites in Post 18. Why haven't you tried them?0 -
Sorry dude I missed the post
I'll check those sites later0 -
Ok. Now i know i have an E7 meter.
According to " Citizens advice ", Yorkshire Energy is the cheapest
12.897p per kWh for the day
8.381p per kWh for the night0 -
My hot water tank's thermostat was set too high which meant the water was boiling and hardly ever switching off. And my bills we're sky high. That was years ago and all sorted now. But it took me a while to work out why I was getting high bills.0

Follow the above link and then the instructions "How to Switch Your Supplier or Tariff" You will need your present annual consumption and the name of your present tariff" Ignore the savings quoted and just look at the cost.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
