You say in your 1st post you don't know the area.
That for me is the most important thing.
Is the crime rate high?
Is it in a possible flood zone?
Is decent broadband available?
Different things matter to different people, but do research the area.0 -
I do know the area. I think you misread it.
The eastate agent didn’t mention any problems when I asked if there is any chain.
Is it rushing things if we see it again tomorrow and if the other people who are viewing with me to help me like it and think it’s good to put an offer in the same day?
Last time few times I put offer in on a house I was told to wait a few days before offering.
It only come onto market on Friday.Mortgage free wannabe

Sorry, I did misread it.
I don't think it's rushing things at all. If you delay you could miss out.0 -

Unlikely as people in the area are knocking 15k off their asking, he needs to relax and view as many as possible IMO.0 -
No they had that house up for least a year now. Houses get snapped up quick in the area other than that one for some reasonMortgage free wannabe

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant those of us who are buying something more expensive/esoteric than a typical FTB property."Bear in mind that those of us who view maybe 20, 30, or more properties before deciding, do that for a reason. Many of them look good on the internet or have a good layout, but there are often disappointments, some of them beyond the house itself. It's good you know the area. "
Depends on where you are looking ,some people might have narrowed down their criteria so there are a lot less to consider. You don't need to view to know a floor plan does not work for you.
My first house took me 5 minutes to decide over because I'd done what you suggested, the second took at least 10 viewings to confirm we'd got it right and the last one was 22 months in all, although it was a very hard time to sell and buy again, so we ended up renting.0 -
Hi all
We viewed the house again today. And hour later I arranged an appointment with mortgage provider to proceed to full application. I have offered 6k under the asking price as the owner has sadly gone to a care home suddenly. The vendor is going to speak to his family to see if they would accept it. It’s not a no but looking positive.
The agent asked what my mortgage status was andsaid I have a dip and I am going to go to mortgage provider tommorow. Also ftb so I’m assuming they want a quick sale and someone not hanging around. So hopefully they will accept the offer.
The people who came with me also loved it.
Can you submit and mortgage application and that it would last a while in case they fall through.Mortgage free wannabe

mortgage offer is for agreed purchase price for chosen property not ‘could borrow up to £x’ . Usually valid for 6 months but depends on lender,
I personally would ask for same day exchange and completion if the vendor is poorly,
good luck0
