Mis-selling Car

Not recieved the payment yet.
As Vauxhall mis-sold me the car I was actually driving with Invalid Insurance, what if the previous owner wouldn't confirm it. My whole claim would have been cancelled and my policy.
These 4 weeks have been nightmare for me bcz Insurance have took the courtesy car of me bcz my car was confirmed written off after 1st week. For 3 weeks my mrs was struggling for the school runs, I ve spent lot of money in taxis going to work and the time I spent chasing Vauxhall even when I was at work. Just bcz of Vauxhall who didn't inform me of the mods and they didnt even helped me when I was chasing them after this incident.
This incident have cause me a lot of Inconvenience and stressed for me and my family. What If It was a serious accident and If I couldn't prove this modifications werent done by me.
Is the insurance payment in line with the amount expected for the car you thought you had bought? If you want to attempt a claim for consequential losses against the dealership you probably have a steep hill to climb. Having a car written off seldom results in you not being at least somewhat out of pocket - and I speak from experience after having my Mercedes totalled by a motorway maintenance lorry.0 -
A modified air filter, bet that added 200bhp..:rotfl:Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0

Yes thats correct. But the reason I ve been to the dealer directly because I am not an mechanic or car specialist. I thought they would give me a correct info. Yh and bcz of this modified air filter my whole claim almost got void.
Vauxhall they themselves said any modified parts they remove and they put their orignal parts in when I went to get info but it is now proved that they havent done this.
There isnt much i can do right?0 -
How much are you out of pocket?0

Yh its approved now. But what i am saying is they sold me a car which had modify parts which they were suppose to tell me right and plus they are saying they remove any modify parts and put their own parts in.
They didnt disclose this information to me.0 -
If your insurance had been invalidated then you may have had a claim. It wasn't though and they are going to pay out.
That negates any claim you may have had.0 -

Ultimately, the only extra costs you incurred were due to the delay in the insurance resolution, and even then you can't pin down exactly how long the delay was. Write-off claims can take a while anyway.
Put in your complaint, plus a claim to the dealer for your itemised, evidenced consequential losses and see what happens. You're entitled to nothing for stress or inconvenience and they may do nothing about your actual losses, either. It's then up to you if you want to pursue it further with a small claims action, for instance.
Personally, I think you're making a big fuss out of an inconsequential problem and getting unnecessarily cross about a load of hypothetical scenarios.0 -

Your insurance could only be invalidated if:
A/ Your insurers could prove that you knew about the modification and failed to declare it and
B/ If declared, the modification would have meant that the insurers would have declined cover.Sometimes it’s acceptable that customers haven’t told insurers certain information. This could be when the information:
is something the customer doesn’t know or couldn’t reasonably have been expected to know
Customers are only expected to answer questions to the best of their knowledge and belief. It might not be reasonable to expect a customer to remember exactly when certain events happened, or to know off the top of their head the answer for a joint policyholder. In some cases, it might not be reasonable to expect a customer to know the answer to a question at all0 -
