Have a look on Street View. At most it seems to be going to a neighbour's back gate, it's certainly not a through route to anywhere else.

Thanks a lot David. I have checked on Google earth and it seems like it merges with neighbour's garden and will ask the EA about how big is the garden and how will I know how long is the garden please? Will it be on a plan somewhere and if the bit at the back is for the house then if I'm buying the house I would like to put fence all around it to make it mine 😆

I like the first house. Far more character and the garden is lovely.

I couldn't find it on streetview easily, so gave up.

Which path are we talking about, please? Help me to see it and I know the garden is king but for some reason, it seems like it merges with the neighbouring garden and I can ask question later on and where did you go to see the path please.

    Thanks

I was near a neighbour's gate... plagued by kids chasing in/out, plagued by hissy fits as the neighbour's kid + friend would perch on top of it while up to 6 other kids would gather round taunting/shouting, plagued by up to a dozen kids to/from the gate perpetually all day long at weekends and all evenings until 9pm... dragging other mates, bikes, basketball hoops in and out....

A neighbour's gate looks innocent enough, but gates aren't used to walk sedately to and from a garden.... if there are kids living behind that gate the whole area becomes part of their running/playground, whether they're friends this week, or chasing each other, or looking for each other, or loitering until they come home....

Thank you for the information and the pathway is in the garden that gors all the way at the back of the garden which merges with neighbour's garden but if I'm buying it I will put fences around my garden so there won't be any more path to go any where. I can't put link sorry I can't show you the pic I took from Google earth

    Thanks

Check that you can put up a fence round your garden, sometimes due to planning restrictions and deeds you can't.

You should ask your solicitor. An EA will tell you anything to sell the house.
  • Been to see the house and not really impress for some reason on the pic it looks big but in person it's not that big. So now I don't know what to do lol. We can live in it as it is but we will have to do an extension on it sooner rather than later but how much is that gonna cost me lol

EAs know absolutely diddly squat about the houses they are showing you round.

When I bought my last one it had a front path approach with gardens either side of the path and a wide corner garden area. I asked about that area "it's communal" he said. No it wasn't, it was entirely 100% part of the freehold of the house.

If you do want a house, for about £3 you can instantly download a copy of the deeds etc from the Land Registry - be aware though that often there are additional covenants and paperwork which might not be included on that, but it does give you, for £3, a quick overview of which bits would be yours "edged in red" and other important information before you get so far down the process you'll agree to anything.

Put your offer in - and, once it's accepted, get that £3 thing, before you appoint a solicitor..... have a quick browse through with a highlighter pen and anything that you don't understand you can ask here what that bit means... saves you weeks/months of solicitor time only to find out something at the last minute you'd assumed or the EA had said.
