FTB have a viewing booked for this house advice please. Thanks

Hi helpful people,

We are FTB and we have a viewing booked for this house and I would like some advice please.
The house looks ok(ish) there is only 1 toilet and there are 2 good size Bedroom and a very small Bedroom. If we go for this house we will be looking to do an extension to make the room bigger but that will be in a few years because extension cost a lot of money and add a toilet downstairs as well and the house seems it has potential. Question is which one would you guys go for between those 2 houses.
on rightmove the number 80887388

or something like that

Rightmove post number 77173954

This one doesnt have a dinning area just a small table in the kitchen.

Sorry as a numbie I cant post the link.

Thanks a lot.

Assuming all else the same, Number 1. No brainer for the extension and reconfiguration potential. And having more living space.

You could use Bed 2 in the three storey as a lounge because for the balance of living space it is a 3 bed masquerading as a four.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
  • Whichever one that is in the best area.
  • Wait until you see them in person. Things can be deceiving in photos and it isn't until you actually see the property and see the area/ neighbours that you will get a real sense of whether or not you could live there.

    Good luck with your viewings

The 1st one looks like it was listed at £240k last year then taken off the market (seen via Propertylog). Might be worth bearing in mind if making an offer. Looks nice though.

First thing that struck me is: where does that path go? what's that path all about?

To me, paths are a source for nefarious behaviour, nuisance and interference...

If that's the house's path, belonging to the house, fine.... but if it's a public footpath, where all sorts and his dog could wander freely with and without pets, gangs, shouts, bikes, skateboards and other paraphernalia, at all times of night or day ..... I'd call that a potential for a feral nuisance you'd never have any control over.

If it's a cut through your grass will perpetually be trampled by running hoardes of kids running to/from their mates in the next road/behind... and back... and back... and back/forth.... oh - and they have bikes.
  • House 1 looks more appealing to me. Its nice enough for you to live in as it is but also has the potential for you to make it you're own and put your stamp on it. Much more character than house 2.

Have a look on Street View. At most it seems to be going to a neighbour's back gate, it's certainly not a through route to anywhere else.
  • Thanks shinytop for the info and I didn't know that so that will help me to negotiate a price thanks a lot.

Which path are we talking about, please? Help me to see it and I know the garden is king but for some reason, it seems like it merges with the neighbouring garden and I can ask question later on and where did you go to see the path please.

    Thanks
