Hello everyone and thankyou so much for your messages, kindness and encouragement I read every single one and they mean a lot. I didnt think for one second I would be, but its great to know I am not alone and everyone of us has had our own challenges to work through and chatting with you all, about life and our common goals on here is great! So a big thanks.

I have just made my May OP of £133.37 which I am pleased with. £25 of that came from getting my cashback from Martins cheap energy club coming through from my switch last October so that was an added little bonus.

This month has been a bit better which is good, we have had some mini spells of nice weather and also a bit of rain which I think we needed. I have had to stop running due to a double knee injury and need to go for x-rays on them and then physio the Dr has told me. I can however, and thankfully keep walking at least so thats a good thing.

I am on call for work this weekend which is looking like not a bad think as it seems its going to be very wet indeed.

I have also planted my chilli plants and need to get on with planting the rest of my seeds too now so they get growing. I feel like I have left it a bit late but we have had some late frosts round my way so lets see and fingers crossed they grow. I am going for sunflowers, tomatoes, and perhaps some other vegetables.

I hope you are all well, your OP journeys progressing nicely and looking forward to nice weekends.

Hello @regularsaver and everyone else on here. Sorry to hear about the double knee injury! I hope the X-rays don’t show anything major and hope it will just need a bit of physio so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I have also been thinking I have left planting from seed a bit late? Weather has not been that warm sometimes despite some hot days? I was thinking maybe I will just go get some young plants this time? I know last year I did it from seeds but not so sure now. Last year I did best with about two tomatoes which just came up by themselves, so am thinking I should get a few tomato plants! I am terrible at gardening I concluded a long time ago! I will keep trying though!
Well done on the OPs! Xx

    Thanks Sistergold,

X-rays didnt show anything really bad but have inflamed tendons so a bit more rest and some physio.

Good idea on getting some young plants, hope thats going well. I am not a particularly good gardener but just seeing how things go. To that extent I have 26 sunflowers growing now that have been potted on from their original little pots. Another few days and they will be ready to go out in the actual garden I think.

Going to put 13 down either side of the garden and I think it will look nice.

  • I have just made Junes OP of £74.72 this month. A smaller one than I hoped but had a few things going on this month money wise including fathers day and buying a new desk for my office to try and get this room finished off.

It is what it is I guess, as much as I would like to, I guess it cant be a whopper every month but I have to keep reminding myself that keeping chipping away and making progress is the main thing. I am actually ahead of target at this stage still for my years target so I am thankful for that. I need to be less hard on myself and think about the progress I have and am making, as I am still doing up my house little by little whilst continuing to make OP and I havent missed an OP in the 1.5 years I have now been doing it so thats a little win.

It looks like we are entering into a few days or rain now where I am and slightly cooler temps so that will make a refreshing change I think after a few weeks now of lovely sun and mid 20s temps.

I am still not doing great mentally as I am sure a lot of us arent but I am trying to be kind to myself and also trying to talk more to people and see family more often.

I hope you guys are all well and thankyou so much for your continued support.

Good progress on the OPs, 18 months is a great achievement, especially as you're also refurbishing!
    Take care, G.

Hi regularsaver, it’s great to hear your progress, you are doing really well. I’ve also been struggling with my MH on and off this last year as has MrCM. I just wanted to say your not alone in that. Take care CM

I have just made Julys OP of £86.11. Another smaller one this month but hopefully that will pick up a little next month.

In other news I have managed to get myself a new job with a little payrise so hoping that will make things easier and take the pressure off the old MH worrying about money and things. It should hopefully allow for a better quality of life whilst allowing me to pay off a little more on the mortgage each month.

I am really happy about the new job, but also really sad about leaving my old one, I guess mainly the people etc that I will miss. But onwards and upwards so they say, I think it will do me good to get out of my comfort zone and have a new challenge. I'll be doing the same as I am now, just for another company, so hopefully I can do it lol, wish me luck!!! I will have to use public transport to get there and I am a bit worried about that in terms of catching covid etc, as I am one of the super vulnerable ones. I will be staying masked up etc, but if you have any tips for keeping extra safe in places such as public transport please share them :)

I hope each and every one of you is well and staying safe still.

Oh @regularsaver, congratulations on your new job! I am sure you will meet nice colleagues there! It’s really easy to fit in for the right money! Lol!
Regards public transport and covid, well besides masking up you could try and avoid the very busy times by going a bit early etc?
