caeler said:Practically summer temperatures that! I too am trying to get out running to help with my mental health. Struggling with my motivation still.
Also I love the feeling I get when I have done exercise, the endorphins, the sense of achievement etc, so all of those things combined. And lastly, especially during covid, I actually like to leave the house so that helps too.
But it sure isnt easy sometimes. I hope you find your motivationMFW - #133 - 2020 Challenge - £1230.67 / £1159

Good evening all,
Just updating my thread quickly to say I have made March's overpayment of £167.63 which I am proud of. Still going, I am so pleased. I spoke with the bank today, my daily interest has reduced by 30p a day since I began my mortgage. That's definitely made me happy, I think its progress anyway.
I will come back over the weekend and provide a bit better update about how everything is going but wanted to update on my OP having just made it and keeping the detail in my signature correct
Hope everyone is ok and doing well.MFW - #133 - 2020 Challenge - £1230.67 / £1159

That's a good reduction and it's for the rest of your mortgage, so not to be sneezed at.
Well done.If it's not adding up, compound it!1 -
Hello all,
Just made what feels like a meagre OP this month of only £74.03, but alas is all I could manage. I am still ahead of my schedule according to to the tracker though after a solid few opening months to the year, so hopefully get back on track next month.
I have not been very active on the forums in the last month or two, I feel like I have been generally struggling with life and just feeling down so apologies for being quiet. I thought the better weather and lighter nights might have helped but I am not sure it has.
I hope everyone's journeys are going well and you are all in good health. I have not been very good at keeping track of a lot of the threads I started off reading and that inspired me to start my journey but I am going to try and improve that.MFW - #133 - 2020 Challenge - £1230.67 / £1159

No need to apologise for being quiet, I post more on other people's diaries than mine...
My monthly OP are about £80ish currently, about half is by rounding the main payment to next £100 and the rest is by rounding down the bank account to nearest £5 every week.
I've found it frustrating to be able to see the sun, but not get into the garden to enjoy it much...

Your future self will thank you massively for every “meagre” overpayment you made 😉
The mental health one is a toughie. We’re all suffering in some way, shape or form. It’ll take a while to get back to how things used to be pre COVID. I think it’ll take years before we all feel really comfortable being as sociable as we were before, especially if you’re within earshot of someone coughing 😱
Get out there and walk, the fresh air will do you the world of good, even if you break it down into shorter walks but more frequently. 10 mins in the morning, 10 mins lunchtime and then 10 mins before/after dinner. Doesn’t feel so bad when you break it down into bite size chunks. Download the Active10 app to motivate you.MFW 2022 #71 £4400/£44002 -
Every penny counts! Great OP and keeping your focus despite everything else going on. I too have struggled at different times this year due to covid. I’ve tried a few different that normally work with varying degrees of success. Whatever you do keep talking, to us here, your friends or family.1

Hello @regularsaver, just wanted to Check in with you. We have all been quiet to some extent and many of us are just hanging on hoping for the best. It’s been a mental strain for sure living under the current conditions which have lasted longer than we thought! But let’s all hang in there knowing we are not alone. Every OP is an OP so never too small!Love, kisses and hugs your way! XxInitial mortgage bal £487.5k, current £258k, target £243,750(halfway!)
