Hi Mooloo. In addition to keeping all your receipts, it is a good idea to enter them into a spread sheet. You can then manipulate the data to see what you are buying and where, and also compare prices if you so wish.

Have just ordered our mr t shop to come the day after we get back on 29th, so that should be next months really, gonna get a carton of uht milk to so don't have to pop to the shops when we come back and can wait for mr t.0

My Mr T delivery was yesterday (45 minutes late, due to a van breakdown) and it was more than I expected  I've noticed this a lot lately, I have taken to noting on my shopping list the BOGOFs and special offers, and what date they end, so that I have all the information I need when I phone Tesco to tell them about their error. I have had £5.66 refunded to my account
I realised that the £10 of chocs for Christmas presents come out of a separate Christmas present budget, so our weekly shop came in at £99 and a few pennies - so I am under my set budget :j I think it will be January before I have time to really study my receipts, and possibly put it in Excel, but I am happy to come in under budget.
Nopot - I hope your hand feels a bit less sore soon.
And completely off topic, I found out on Wednesday that I passed the Open University exam I took in October with a distinction :j:j:D Had some wine to celebrate.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Oooh I don't like to be ever so slightly over half my budget for the month before we're halfway through! (Think I'm really getting into the GC!) Well I suppose I have stocked right up on nighttime nappies which will last a while, and we'll be sponging meals off relatives quite a few times over the next couple of weeks, so should come in under budget for the month.
I'm doing a Christmas meal for the outlaws on the 22nd but I decided that should come out of the Chrimbo budget, which hasn't actually got much in it as I only started budgeting properly in November so I might write most of it off so that I can start saving for next Christmas from January, rather than spend 6 months paying it off, IYSWIM.
I'm a teensy bit concerned that I've been able to come in under budget for Nov/Dec because I've been using up cupboard stocks but I guess I'll just have to get even more creative with my cooking in the new year.
Thanks for all your posts everyone, they're very encouraging.0 -

Hi guys! I have spent another £16.01 this week, taking my total so far to £69.31, just over halfway. One thing I have been quite rubbish at this month is meal planning, so I am off to plan the meals for the rest of the month, then I can do a shop tomorrow accordingly from the list that I will write!
Hope everyone is okay xMFW

Well done!:jI wish Germany had a website like moneysavingexpert!0 -
I had to go to Morrisons yesterday, to buy some sausages for the christmas party. They had some butter bogof, so I bought that too and put it in the freezer. My DH thinks I am mad, buying all these BOGOF's. but it has saved us a lot of money in the long run!
So I spend £3.20.
Reading through the thread about Mr T deliveries, I do agree, it isn't worth doing an online delivery under £50. So therefore I have decided, that from the new year, I will try and do a monthly meal plan. it will hopefully work out to one big Mr T shop monthly and the rest from Lidl and local shops.
See how that goes.
