The problem with politics is events ld chap - the Donald thinks he can control the news agenda and in normal times he could it seems (see for example the China 'deal' used to control the level of the stock market) but CV could mean things run away from him and possibly see Bernie Saunders into the White House which would be an incredible turnaround for the bastion of capitalism.

It's an oscar-winning colour talkie and an East Asian comedy-thriller with few failings and many strengths.

I'm happy to be elderly at just 60. Cheaper travel (in fact, free, in London) and cheaper cinema tickets. Free prescriptions, too.

I see that Carrie Symonds is being promoted from mistress to wife. Does anyone know who’s being recruited to fill the now-vacant role of mistress?

DW and I wore masks and rubber gloves on the underground today.  We’re flying to The Middle East on Tuesday and thought we should try out the gear. Pretty uncomfortable, is the answer. I wear a mask for Woodwork, but this mask was worse. And the rubber gloves were v sweaty. We managed about 30 minutes before thankfully taking it off.

Amazingly, nobody stared at us.

 I think it’s almost impossible to avoid germ transfer, anyway. On the underground, you’re having to get tickets out, adjust glasses, etc as well as touching seats and handrails.

There's some ozone in the underground which is supposed to suppress virus outbreaks as it disinfects the air (by accident rather than design). But of course it's the shared surfaces that need attention.

MY question was actually, is it a movie that benefits from the 'big screen experience' or is it one that you will get just as good (or even better) experience watching in the intimacy of your own home? (And that I was going for the latter so was waiting till it is on DVD)
