    Hmm, thats it really some sites say yes others say no, even tech radar give the best antivirus choice for android, strange days.

    Also reading some apps on google play like banking apps can be faked, so download from your banks own website.I have just done this with First Direct, but the link to google play says the bank has no control on the play link, so in other words take care what you download.
    How can you be 100% certain these apps are safe then, what to look for?

    Play store is safe , the app is scanned for nasties on download

    Android is part of Google and all apps are scanned before download. Try to download any apps that are not on the Play Store and Google will tell you it's at your own risk. You don't need any AV on an android phone, unless you download non-Playstore apps.
    I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
