    Thanks for reading regularsaver.

Early days for Mr Hive, but it does seem to be working for us.

It really only seems to be on for an hour in the morning and nearly two more across the rest of the day. Most of this coincides with the hot water.

Our current setting is for 20c from 0800 to 2200, then15c. Overnight the temperature drops to the low 18.?c and after an hour or so in the morning stays at 20ish without needing to be on.

If we could have economically moved the old wired thermostat upstairs we'd have probably seen the same savings. :o

Spent £50 at Ald1, mainly bulk buying washing liquid and conditioner.
Nearly double what we normally spend, but all in a good cause!

Today's chicken roast will also be a Chinese curry tomorrow and a pho on Wednesday.
Also had this month's haircut. :)

Should be no personal spends until Thursday.

I am going to London on Tuesday and staying over, but that's for work, which they will cover.

Should know by Friday how the new plan is working as we pay our main bills and ourselves on the 6th.

Have also cancelled NowTV as we only watched a couple of shows and they won't be back until late summer. We can always binge watch them over a month, so don't even need it for more than a month or two this year.

I am forever jealous of people who can bulk buy because they have economies of scale, but I have no storage space for that luxury.

Good to hear the Hive is working for you. Had the same problem when fitting the Nest. Downstairs too close to the open fire, so temp always low to glacial upstairs. Upstairs has a PIV, so cold air constantly blowing onto it, so heating always on to try to heat the house. Settled with it near the PIV and turning the radiators to almost off in the living room.

The wonders of modern technology! How did we live without it in the first place.

Work trip went well, still hate playing sardines on the tube...
£5.90 to savings and 2 NSD.
Mr wolf is huffing and puffing, but whilst very loud outside, storm Ciara doesn't appear to have caused the neighbourhood any damage.
New forum is taking some time to adjust too.  Doesn't seem to play well on tablets - no idea when anything posted unless on PC or turn tablet sideways...

£5.32 mortgage OP. Should end the month at £97k.
We've rearranged the office this week to sit close working teams closer together. Been a bit stressful for some, so bought cakes and biscuits in.
Wondering what th is weekends storm will bring...

Thankfully storm Dennis was only (sometimes scarily) huffing and rainy. Neighbours lost a fence panel, but that seemed to be the extent of it round our way.
Decided to treat ourselves with a Chinese takeaway on Saturday, really disappointing. The batter was so thick and claggy and everything seemed tasteless. Think it's time for a change... 😐
Sunday roast and the curry it made tonight more than made up for it. 😁
    Tidied £4.85 to savings.
