Needs some curtains putting up in front of the suits of armour.  Having such things on constant display is gauche, sophisticated people use a knight hider...

Problem is that most of the road have replaced traditional houses with ultra modern glass structures, making this one out of keeping. An example nearby: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/123695549#/?channel=RES_BUY

I can never understand people who spend £12 - £15 million on houses that are already built ( unless it is something really special historically or  has to be in an exact location like an area of London ). Surely if you have that sort of money you would get something built exactly how you want it and not have to compromise on anything and not be paying for things you will never use or don't want ?

True. Along that road and nearby you can acquire a property in need of knocking down for 2-3 million, leaving you with plenty to build your dream. That particular house will have to wait for someone with the same taste.

That's exactly the sort of thing we were looking for when we were house hunting. Plenty of jobs to do, but good bones :)
