Hope there's not a Balrog behind the door!1 -
How much more do you think they could have charged if they’d finished the decorating though? Plywood walls, anyone?!Tiglet2 said:Spot the cow. Finding it difficult to comment positively on the price and decor to be honest.

Good grief they wouldn't sell that look round our way. Might have worked on it's own plot but looks completely incongruous amongst the other bungalows in what looks like a very average "retirement" estate of them. I can't imagine it will age well either.Tiglet2 said:Spot the cow. Finding it difficult to comment positively on the price and decor to be honest.

By spot the cow, do you mean the one outside or the remains on the living room floor?5 -
So someone's idea of "renovation" is clad it in a complete mixture of old materials including old rusty corrugated tin, and leave the interior wall finished as though someone forgot to skim over the plasterboard. Thus making it look like a poorly executed budget self build.Tiglet2 said:Spot the cow. Finding it difficult to comment positively on the price and decor to be honest.

You see this on tv property programs when someone clads a wall in reclaimed pallet planks to "give it patina" Whenever i suggested that to my wife the polite version of her reply was "no you are not"4 -
I've seen this on a couple of renovation tv programmes. Perhaps it's trendy. I think it just looks unfinished!EssexHebridean said:

When you buy a traditional bungalow and decide to try and convert it into a modern luxury villa style property, but run out of money and ideas.Tiglet2 said:Spot the cow. Finding it difficult to comment positively on the price and decor to be honest.

Do you think they deliberately stuck the rusty sheets on the back wall?3 -
