Catching up with the thread, I remember my sister going there for a guide camp so definitely was for children as well as leaders. I also remember the fund raising to buy it so it’s a bit of a shame it is being sold off, though I can see how it would be a money pit!

The inside reminds me of a museum (formerly a mansion of some prominent and dodgy Brit) in North Cyprus.

It looks lovely, but how practical is it? I suspect a lot of the features will vanish..

Those two wall cupboards offer little in the way of practical & accessible storage in my opinion. But I suppose once you have bashed your head on one a couple of times, you'll either keep your distance, or get rid of it.
