PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

joho said:Who remembers stippling?Nope, but I once taught pottery and encouraged a moderately talented child to make a coil pot, something like the one in the photo. It didn't turn out to be quite such a classical shape, however, the bottom sagging and giving it an inelegant, but useful, low centre of gravity. The child took it home triumphantly, and on the first parents' evening I learned it had been put in pride of place on the half landing.Roll on to the final parents' evening in July and the parent confided, "I've tripped over that blessed pot I don't know how many times, but despite some very vigorous hoovering the bloody thing refuses to die!"8

It's not my bag, but I do like the way the trees seem to be a part of the living space due to all the glass (which would cost you a fortune in blackout blinds wouldn't it?)
