The lines around the edge where it butts up to the wall were what made me think it looked painted.

Dark sealant? I may be wrong, but I just can't see how anyone would do something as daft as painting a basin. Then again.....
ADD. Googled dark coloured matt sanitary ware, and it does exist! Although why anyone would want a matt black toilet is beyond me. Reviews indicate that the coating chips easily, and so must be a nightmare to clean in a hard water area.

its not very nice as either an HMO or a house. All those narrow little rooms and weird living room extension. I can’t imagine where you would sit in the kitchen diner.
