It kind of works though in that lovely wee cottage. A bit Three Bears. 😊

I used to work in a pub in a nearby village during my summer vacations and I'm absolutely sure the old codgers who propped up the bar would have had a lot to say about this; I must try and see if I can arrange to bump into someone from out that way and find out more.

I’m not a great lover of pink, but that is really pretty. I could live with that kitchen quite easily 😁

This one looks quite fun. Lots of original features. Love the fireplaces, kitchen cupboard and bathroom. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/172723352?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=buying&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY

just having a nose round other houses in the same area as the last one and this one has been done up in all the wrong ways. Too many hideous features to list individually but the landing radiator might be a favourite. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/708bf585-8d93-4af5-bca8-1410210c57c1?id=media0

Yes, some odd things there. Rear exit through the shower room seems unnecessary. I suspect the new owners will put in the more obvious door from the dining room. Like you I like a lot of the features in the unadulterated first one. Seems good value in that nice area. Who doesn't like the Hornimans museum? I hope the walrus is still there.
