  • Not only is it joined at the back (which would give one shared wall) but also on at least one side.  The example in Luton appears to be in a block of four.

Curtains, right next to the loo?  Let's hope they're laundered daily.  And how does anyone get into the cupboard over the cistern?  I can't figure out what that yellow urn-shaped thing under the basin is.

I viewed a house with a bathroom even more yellow than that, walls, floor, ceiling, suite, tiles, the lot was the most vivid yellow ever. I like yellow, but even I thought it was a bit much 😁

Also (whilst we're sampling Luton) what's a "cluster house"???

The interior is lovely for a small starter house.
And the estate is only surrounded by Luton on two sides which can't be bad...
A cluster house has no back garden because it is joined at the back by another house. In this case the floor plan is wrong. Upstairs the bedroom window is on the right not the rear as you can see in picture 7.
So returning to the old “back to back” houses. Hmm.

1 bed cluster houses (4 in a block) started appearing in the 1980s. No real difference to terrace houses in that you are attached on 2 walls, but side and back rather than 2 sides. Quite a lot of them in Luton. There are also 2 bed "T--houses" which have 2 houses east to west and back to back and the 3rd house attached to the one side and going north south. 3rd house is only attached on one wall
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

I've said on here before that I like cluster houses as a concept. I would prefer one to a one bedroomed flat because: freehold. Looking at this one, I expect that this is the standard cluster house pattern of four houses. So, like a semi-detached, but divided into four instead of two. In such a way that the house is in quarters, with all 'houses' having both a second floor and roof, and a ground floor.

Usually they have a share of the garden, and this listing says that there is a garden. I've seen examples with divided gardens, divided in different ways. I've also seen fully shared gardens.

I know Luton is in the commuter belt for London, but the price of this cluster house is a very high proportion of the total price of my 3bed detached.

    Wow factor the infinitely prolonged...

I like the sperm whale 'welcome' sign in the back garden.
