Yes it’s the Home Alone house. Heard it on the radio that it had gone up for sale. I think it’s lovely. 

I haven't ever seen the film  but somehow must have taken in a clip or photos somewhere.

I don't fancy the french doors out on to the flat roof at all, there are no railings to stop someone stumbling over the edge and landing on the railing and wall below, yuk.

Looked at the aerial view from Google, and it appears that there was railings. It is possible and enforcement notice was served requiring the railings to be removed and the owners prevented from using the flat roof as a terrace.

I was going to joke that this could be a scene in the next Home Alone. But, not having seen the film for years and years, that might be a scene from the original.

I think it's the way they've hoovered the carpet that makes some bits look like they don't match. If it'd been hoovered all the one way I think they would.

An object lesson in "let's see how many wall units we can squeeze in to the kitchen". A waste of worktop space in my opinion..

Still above what I can justify buying, and way more expensive than my entire house here in Leicester. But, just curious about its layout. Surely there's no way that Bedroom 2 is those dimensions. Even if the floorplan is 'not to scale'. 

That's the first time I've seen a floorplan just in meters. How would anyone be able to figure out the real size?

Ha ha, no, but I've never seen one just in metres before, and one would have to convert it to feet to understand it (unless you were brought up in metres, such as in France).

Or in England in the last 40 years.
