This has been on the market for very long time and is overpriced by £150-200k. The current asking price is actually lower than what it was up for originally, having been reduced in October 2023. It's a case in point for the fact that the costs of lavish refurbishment cannot be recouped at time of sale*. In addition, the interior decoration is highly individualized and unlikely to be to many buyers' tastes. I suspect, too, that open-plan is going to become the new naff in these austere times (expensive to heat).
Note the lack of photos of the exterior. You'll have to check Streetview to see why...
*there's another house round my way that's in the same boat: the owners spent extravagantly on interior decoration and are trying to get the money back by selling over the odds. Surprisingly, nobody has bought the place. It has been for sale, at least in principle as it goes on and off the market, for years.2 -

I'm reminded of the following house that has just gone up for sale near me. It's in a road that I used to live in, and I've never understood why these houses seemed to sell for as much as larger houses. The interior - which I've never seen - is 'property developed' a lot in my opinion. But, I just can't see it being worth that price. Maybe a buyer will disagree. But, when I saw it was on for £350k, before seeing the pictures, my ears shot up in a Snoopy fashion.
