Is it worth 500k, not a chance, is it good they are smelling the coffee and have dropped the price by 98k, maybe, but they need to drop the price much further. Run away....quickly.
  • They should have put the loo under the stairs and made the utility room bigger and put a back door there so you can take muddy shoes etc off somewhere other than your main room.

2 doors in one of the bathroom is annoying - if its for family then only the main door is needed. Guests will forget to lock both or leave one locked.

All the points about the layout are super valid. That living area could have been great.
I wonder what the other three properties sold for. Sold prices are not to be found anywhere, unfortunately.

Not doing it for me... Never fails to amuse me what the people who stage show-homes will include btw. What's going on with the 'going on a world cruise' trunks in pic 7?

I wouldn't even look at the house.
I know someone who lives on Whitechapel Road who constantly moans about the noise from the motorway, and the constant gridlock because of the motorway junction. Took him nearly an hour to get from centre of Cleck to his house recently!

TBH, I'd go for that in preference.
    £25k cheaper.
Plot looks similar size/relationship to neighbours.
Looks to offer a good chunk more internal space, but neither have floor area stated - the OP's original doesn't even have any room dimensions, but they really don't look generous, in relation to the garage.

Predominantly aesthetics, even though it was built as a single property it has the appearance of a pair of semis which have been knocked through with a rather ugly porch plonked where the original pair of front doors would have been. I'm also not keen on how close the front door is to the (admittedly likely very quiet) road.

The property in the opening post isn't exactly a looker but I still prefer it to this one appearance wise, I agree the second one is better value for money due to the 2 extra bedrooms (at the expense of losing the loft). I'm not overly keen on either of them but if I absolutely had to pick one of these two it'd probably be the first one.

Very interesting views. Keep them coming. Thought you are all starting to convince me that it’s not worth the price tag, I’m still interested in what you would offer.

Have you been there and stood quietly in the (site of) the garden to check the motorway noise?

I found a lovely house while looking last January but I was concerned as it was about the same distance from a dual carriageway as this one is from the M62. I went there and did what I said above, and also took a video as I walked around the garden. Ruled it out as the noise wasn't a quiet hum it was really disturbing.

On playback it was even worse.

Good, but unless the developer/seller is desperate enough they will probably just keep flying their kite IMO, for a while anyway, that is how too low for too long interest rates are distorting the economy now.
