Car registered in my name forge!

Please help me. A car has been registered in my name by a family member I haven’t lived with for 4/5 years and don’t speak to.Inform the DVLA that you are not/have not and never will be the keeper of the vehicle.
Do as the court request - attend and swear on oath
If you know who has used your details, then inform the relevant agencies that they are the registered keeper
Presumably, you had already moved on from the old address when the vehicle was falsely registered there (as you never saw the V5 being returned). If you can find anything to show the date you moved away that will support your case that you were not involved.
It seems there are two issues going on....
1) You received a letter about no tax and told the DVLA you weren't the registered keeper. Right? How did that come to your new address - because the DVLA would only write to the old address on the paperwork.
2) You've now received a letter from a court about another offence and you may have been convicted in absence of failing to identify the driver - because the original penalty notification would have gone to the old address. Your defence to that is as before - you are not the registered keeper and have no knowledge of the vehicle or its driver at the time of the traffic offence.
As dannyrst said - any evidence that you were elsewhere at the time of the alleged offences will probably help.I need to think of something new here...0 -

Court has been contacted I think they only care about the money being paid they didn’t seem to want to help at all.
We have contacted the DVLA and have called the police. If the current person at the previous address sends back letters will they then do a search to find your new address? That’s the only thing I think how they have obviously sent letters to the new address. We haven’t been at the previous address for 2 years so wouldn’t have received any initial letters as we don’t know who now lives there.0 -

Why start a thread about someone else with this then "A car has been registered in my name by a family member" which is not the case?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
The court have said what to do. Go and make a Statutory Declaration. Your sister would appear to have a motoring conviction. You can't just ring up a court and have it overturned.
This is quite serious and could get a whole lot worse. Take your sister to see a solicitor and get proper legal advice0 -

Assuming that last is true. There is an obligation to give any information you have that may identify the driver. So if either of you actually know or strongly suspect that a particular family member has committed the offence you do have to dob them in.
How the DVLA and courts got your current address is secondary - it may well have been given by the aforementioned dodgy family member. But get the conviction sorted first.I need to think of something new here...0
