good work - keep chasing those little wins

who did you complain to in Groupon, the service provider or Groupon themselves.  I have a hotel booking that has fallen into the void - so not a large sum, but worth chasing - the alternative being to wrote it off to lazy tax, and I'm trying not to do that this year
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Hi Sarah, I’d keep the groupon credit and birthday Money just sitting there for when you see something you really want and don’t have to think twice about can the one be better spent. A wee well deserved treat x

I went back to Groupon as that's who I was told to go to. It's my own fault apparently as I didn't read the fine print well enough. I'm just taking it as one of those learn from it things and will use Groupon credit to buy goods rather than services as needed.

  • I've just realised I've had this diary for a year now. Been quite a few ups and downs especially with a lot of unexpected happenings in the last 12 months.
But I'm glad happy to say I have one else credit card, my sofa finance is gone, my biggest CC will be cleared by end of this year and I have a 1k emergency fund now. Sadly the 1k I had paid off to my dad I had to borrow again but that's offset in some ways by the EF I didn't have before. Here's to the next 12 months.

  • What progress you have made 😁, happy belated birthday. My YNAB is almost up soon but I have decided to renew also.  I do have a spreadsheet that I use also but think YNAB really keeps me on track day to day because I'm thinking about what I'm spending on and fiddling about with it and all my pots keeps me busy and not spending lol.  X
