Sucks about the sofa, hopefully they acknowledge it’s a fault. I think cancelling the sofa was the right move.

What course have you picked and what career does ot lead to?
It's to do a mortgage advisor course. You just have to pay at the end to take the final exams in a test centre when you're ready. You get 18 months access to online resources when you start it and have 6 months to sign up from date of purchase. So gonna wait until the new year and start it then.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Pinch punch first of the month. So this month's pay included the extra back pay so was nice £200 on top. So this has gone straight to paying my card along with my standard £200 payment which now means my debt is under the £6k mark yay and my card is under the 2k mark. It's the little milestones that make all the difference.
Still waiting for the refund on sofa at the moment and that will then have about £160 in credit. This currently isn't in my budget so am still considering what to do with it. I have some clothes to return so it's likely to increase a bit more as well. I only have one present left to get for Xmas and that's for my housemates mum as a thank you for having me round Xmas day for lunch. Won't spend much just need to have a think about what to get her.
Wanna try and have a low personal spends month if I can this month. I know lockdown is being lifted somewhat but I don't wanna go crazy and risk catching it as feels like its around more locally this time round. What's everyone's plans for December? Are we all hoping to finish the year on a good note?*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Had confirmation that sofa is a manufacturing fault. The repair hasn't lasted long though its already starting to dip again where he put the support in. Feels like a temporary fix to me. Gave them a call this morning about it they are now saying that they can't replace the beam that snapped because harveys is out of business and supplier as well. But I explained I had a repair done last week that's not worked which apparently never happens. So now have them coming back out on Monday to look at it again and apparently they could charge me another £48 if they decide its not a failed repair. So frustrating all I want is for them to write a report that says it's a manufacturing liability and can't get the replacement part so I can claim money back from loan people and get a new sofa. Have to see what they say when come back. Invoice they sent me says paid in full, apparently they are gonna be charging me for that. Wish they had told me that when come out. I can claim back from the loan company so not end of world but frustrating as I just want a sofa that i can sit on without it feeling like I'm touching the floor.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

The sofa saga is driving me crazy, think I will just be upfront with the guy who comes on Monday and say if you can't replace the broken part because they have stopped making it then i want that in writing for the loan company.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

So fingers crossed the sofa is sorted. Just need to claim back the costs for it now. The guy has fitted some support beams and an extra leg which tbh I think it's crazy the sofa didn't come with it at start anyway. It's back to being a good height and comfy again so I am happy with it as means I don't have to pay out for a new one. I am still going to have a sofa fund for next one as I think this time next year I may need a new one. Although I am reluctant to get a new one until housemate has moved out with her bunny and I have the place to myself again. Just have to wait and see. But got my money back for new sofa I was gonna buy so my credit card is in credit, also got confirmation of refund on clothing so will increase again in next few days.
Slightly over spent on the food shop this week but realised that probably spent about £10 on stuff for my cold in fairness so that is probably what caused it.
Did my electric meter reading last week and it's a lot higher since getting my dehumidifier but with the amount of water still coming out of it I feel like I need to keep is going. Hopefully it's not as bad as I think and some of it will be from generally using lights more etc as gets darker earlier and stuff.
Gonna go have a play with my budget as I'd like to work out where the extra from the card is gonna go and then move the cash for something else. I'm thinking probably use it to pay for my next block of massages next week and then use the cash to pay my car tax on 1st Jan rather than it come from Jan's budget.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
