Moving to a brand new house not yet on the grid
Apparently only cable goes to it
Does that mean I can't have non cable tariffs?
Do I have to put it on the grid with BT before I put providers can even see it or will they know by the address
Any website I can put my address in to find providers
My existing provider says they can't supply at my new address but I'm wondering whether that's because it's not connected

You need to find out from the developer exactly who they have arranged service from. "Cable" could be Virgin, but could be someone else. If its Virgin, then you can only have Virgin.0

As already stated , you need to speak to the developer, there are quite a lot of Persimmon developments, where they have locked out the mainstream providers , and they provide broadband ( FTTP) themselves, you can only get broadband from them ( or one of their partner ISPs ) , unless you want to use mobile broadband ( they cannot lock that out ,obviously, then you are effectively stuck with a choice of one0
