It's a preview graphic, so you'll need to click/tap the image to enlarge it in your browser. Then you can scroll down.
And the idea that the new design won't be optimised (or have a version that's optimised) for mobiles is vanishingly remote. This is 2020. A forum as prominent as MSE would never do such a thing and lose out on 50% or more of their visits!0 -

Looks good and some nice improvements by the sounds of it. Still no 'My Posts' button, though?0

I can't see on Forum View where to select the Sort Order (Thread Start Time/Last Post Time) etc.0

I agree. That's unusable on a mobile!
These are screen shots effectively of the new look. It will essentially function exactly as the forum does today as far as display except is mobile compatible.

It was still being worked on but we really wanted to show you what the general gist of the Forum would look like 😊

It looks broadly the same as the original green scheme, but a couple of comments
Can it be made possible to see thread content at full screen width without having to manually zoom in? This probably means rearrange or relocate the short column at top right.
I hope that the font size will automatically adjust. The illustrations give an idea but are fixed of course and as displayed have smaller writing.0 -
I'm very impressed with the first look. I like the way it reflects much of the green screen version (which I still use exclusively as I consider it far less wasteful of screen space and easier on the eyes), and the features added appear genuinely useful without bombarding people with loads of unneccesary ones.
Well done to all involved.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

I wonder if some users (those who have missed/ignored/misunderstood the notifications about updating their email address) will choose to re-register from scratch after the change. Maybe it will be a good idea to temporarily reduce the number of posts required before a user can post links.
With some users receiving an assigned username to fit in with new naming rules and to avoid duplicate usernames, I would expect there may be an increased demand for change of username requests.0
