Shoe rack is where it's going to live for now. One day it will be moved in to the cupboard under the stairs, but, currently that is stacked to the rafters with stuff and known as the cupboard of doom!
Found a pretty cloth bag - so I've put all my pegs into that and I'll wash my old peg bag (a freebie from the launch of Elle magazine in the 1980s) and fill it with stuff for cs. I still have DS's wellie peg from playschoolHe's 27

Neighbours fence is gradually disintegrating but unfortunately hanging over my garden. I hope they move it soon.I've stripped and remade a bed, done two loads of washing and dusted and vacuumed right through the house. Also I've cooked a chicken ready for dinner.7

Well the power blipped off for a while, but it’s back on again now. The wm has managed to finish, so clothes are hung. Carrot soup is simmering. Bathroom cleaned and en-suite has been s&s’d. I have looked at the utility RoD but quite frankly it bored me. No amount of moving bits around is going to get over the fact that it is just too full and needs a complete rethink. I compromised and put some beans into soak which has a) removed some of the contents of a packet that doesn’t fit in a cupboard b) unleashes my well hidden inner earth mother self and c) has resulted in yet another bowl on the draining board so that I can’t possibly clean in there now8

Afternoon all
neighbours fence is gradually disintegrating here too, our side ok at the moment. I’ve emptied the bins and washed out the litter trays but the bags are sitting in the utility room, not brave enough to take them out yet!
Bedding stripped, washed and bed remade
Another wash load done, that’s just drying
office and bedroom dusted and hoovered
Decided on bolognese for tomorrow, that’s in the sc and smelling delicious already
veg and spuds prepped for this evening
I’m having a sit down with my book for an hour now, may do a little more later on x7 -

Good afternoon 😁
Valli it wasn’t me re the avatars. I worked out how to put one on and went for a change to a painting of my recently departed Bubbles. There’s are a few things that I am finding difficult: quotes (I gave up), editing to cross things off a list, the lack of time stamp for posts (unless someone says good morning/evening, I have no idea when it was posted!) and the fact that people’s ‘badges’ sometimes obscure what they have typed so I have to guess! I have added some emojis from my keyboard (on my tablet at the mo), but not sure if they show up to other people 🤷♀️
Very windy here - the fence was starting to go so we have shoved some wood in to steady it. Hopefully it will hold. The internet’s & TV we’re off the morning, but back now. WM & TD have been on, but I am in a bit of a CBA mood. DD2 is watching crap on tv, so I have come upstairs. I hate tidying when everyone is here doing nothing as it gives me the hump! I really need to do something productive.... sorry to moan!
Stay safe everyone!9 -
Fayolle your comment about the utility room made me smile. I have a shelf in my kitchen which is home to lots of cookery books that I never use, a CD player that stopped working about 3 years ago and a stack of random tupperware that no-one can ever match up with lids. About a month ago I bought some nice storage boxes to replace all this clutter but just cannot motivate myself to tackle it. I have, however, done 3.5 hrs studying.
I am going to drink a cup of tea and think about doing something productive.9 -
We appear to have been very lucky with the storm here. I decided to go and collect Rosie from kennels early this morning, while it was still fairly calm. We've had a few big gusts and downpours during the day, but the ash and oak trees beyond our garden are still standing. The sun came out an hour ago and I have even managed to take Rosie for a shortish walk along the Roman road, which is a bit like a cartway between high hedges which give shelter. Another couple of hours, and then the wind speed is forecast to drop.
I have also FUPA some clean clothes, disposed of a few bits of scrap paper and decluttered some sleepnow I need to concentrate on writing a short talk for tomorrow.

Hi all, just popping in to say that have had some success here getting rid of stuff, 2 trailer loads taken to the tip, and another 4 loads for friends who are moving and need to clear their garage. It has however motivated me to do more. Not sure how much will get done as work is busy next week but feeling motivated.
Very windy here so have been to add extra moorings on the boat and fingers crossed that we keep our dodgy roof, it's due to be replaced later this year but could do with it hanging on for a bit longer.
Washing and ironing done for DD1. Nice dinner out with friends last night after spending the day working in their garage.

Good evening
Well, this has been a waste of a day!! My GUAG has most definitely GONE! The only thing I have achieved was a dash to @ld! to get some shopping. I could have waited until tomorrow but we were down to our last toilet roll!!! Cue a family row about who uses the mostMy money is on DS, but he is blaming the childminding kids. DH has suggested we have a roll each, then we would see who it is (imagine a ROFL emoji here!!) I think he would discover he is a close 2nd to DS!!!
Re my earlier rant about the new format - it would appear it depends on which device you use. I was on my tablet earlier, then later looked on my phone - layout was better re the badges. I am now on my laptop, and I can see a time stamp. How weird/annoying!
DH is cooking dinner, and I am going to spend a bit of time looking at my accounts as I want to submit them a bit earlier than 31/12 this year (I know that is still not as late as some!!). At least I will be doing something productive! I will do better tomorrow
