asparklyblonde - pre the changeover I sent you a pm - did you get it?
Snowdrops visited - place was very, very busy. Back now and just warming up with a coffee before I go and clean out the hoppity ones.
Whoever (GI?) isn't seeing avatars - they haven't ported over - you're not incompetent. Those flyladies who have them have, I assume, set them up (eg sexymouse and roundtuit)

I've put the shoe rack together and recycled the packaging (clappy hands) - that's been on the 'to do' list since 1st April. I now need to make room for it at the dining end of the kitchen.
It's coming together at last ladies (clappy hands x 3)

So I decided to punish myself doing lots of flying:
- vacuumed downstairs (hall, lounge/diner)
- Cleaned outside of dw as Mr N was plumbing it back in. Gave it a good clear out with soda, white vinegar and an old lemon on a cycle, so yippee we're back in business. Have now put in every utensil that usually hangs on a bar over the aga, including their S-hooks, so they will be all shiny and ready to hang up.
- Bright sun here (anyone got storms yet; think we're due them tomorrow) so Mr N and I went into the garden and did a fair bit, so pleased with that.
- Walked up to post a letter and get a paper.
Finally had my doc's appt yesterday about my constant pins & needles in arm/shoulder. Huh, now on low dose Amitryptiline and have instructions to get it x-rayed then MRI scanned. Don't know if I was imagining the cotton wool head when I got up, or the strong headache I've had for the last hour. Pins & needles still there, perhaps a little reduced although I didn't expect anything after one tablet.
Golly the spacing on this seems really wide.

I added my av back in, and had a change at the same time. Took a while as I had to work out how to do it.

Just put the computer on and lots of email notifications. Never had notifications before! I think I've cancelled them now.Cold wind today but sunny and I've dried some washing which is always a bonus. Otherwise, just shopping with DD1 and DGD2 this morning.7

Car all looking sparkly inside and everyone warming up with fruit teas (DS2 and I) and hot chocolate (DS1). The hallway is also looking a little less cluttered as I realised that the mats from the back of my car had been sitting there waiting to be hoovered since the last time I did the car which must have been in the summer last year. 😳 I need to hoover all of the hallway floor as the pushchair and our grubby shoes have been tracking mud and gravel etc in, especially as all of our pavements were dug up.
Washload in the TD has been put away, so just waiting on the WM to finish to put DS2's pillow in the TD ready for after his bath tonight. I also need to muster the energy to cut his and DS1's hair as they are both looking a bit disheveled.
Yes I saved my avatar picture from the old forum and then re-uploaded it using the pc when the new forums became live. I really dislike change, so anything I could do to make it seem more familiar, I did. As for emojis, I miss them too, and I think the lack of them is a big loss. I've just copied and pasted the above emoji from a different site. Don't like the way it will only post in the middle of a line though.

Hello Flyfriends, I'm back home now, in both senses - here on the thread and also in my own house. I too don't think much of the new style, but I suppose we shall have to live with it.
We managed to meet up with 3 lots of old friends while we were away, and waved to LW and Narc0 en route (driving the long way round, in order to visit a place near you that we've been wanting to go to for a while). I have kept DH off cakes and sweets most of the time, but we did enjoy a generous Chinese meal last night.
This house desperately needs cleaning, but it won't get done in what's left of today (too tired after driving all afternoon and anyway it's gone dark now, so I can't tell the difference between dirt/dust and shadows), or tomorrow (written work needs to be finished off), or Monday (working all day) or Tuesday (ditto), so I shall shut my eyes and just ignore it
(((Hugs))) / spoons / sticks / GWS wishes all round, as needed xxx9 -
